Preview

The file preview in cavok is especially useful when you don't have the right program to open a file. Teams where individual members do not have an Adobe license to open PSD, INDD or AI files benefit a lot of the DAM solution.

Image preview even down to individual layers

Cavok can preview all common image formats. For Photoshop files, individual layers can be reviewed, commented and approved.

Easily stream large 4K videos

Cavok provides the preview for all common video formats without the need to install an additional codec or browser plug-in. Even large files with several GB can be played directly in the browser without having to download the file. Cavok creates and uses the necessary file format for streaming with every browser.

Preview for layouts from InDesign and Illustrator

There is no need to create a separate PDF to view layouts. Cavok provides all users with a preview of the INDD, EPS or AI file without having to own the appropriate program.

Preview of 3D files

With Cavok you can display all common 3D file formats. In addition to the classic image preview, you can zoom into the file, rotate it and change the background colour. View every aspect of the 3D files down to the smallest details. Scenarios such as “transparent” and “shading” can also be applied. Depending on the file format, anchored grid boxes can be displayed too.

Set file preview and thumbnail

Instead of the automatically generated file preview, you can also upload your own previews for assets. For files that do not generate a preview, icons can be added as previews.
